01 · The problem
What was wrong
A family-run building company with a lot of good work and nowhere to show it. They needed a site that brings quote requests in, shows what they do, and stays up to date without anyone having to call a developer.
02 · What I built
The fix
A fast, search-friendly site built on Next.js and Supabase: a page for each service, a free-quote form, honest FAQs, and a private admin area where the family add projects, pick the project of the week and read every enquiry.
03 · How it works
The parts that matter
- A page each for extensions, loft conversions, kitchens, bathrooms, and painting and decorating, so every service can be found locally.
- A free-quote form that lands in the admin inbox and reaches them by email.
- Admin area: add a project with photos, choose the project of the week for the home page, and see enquiries in one place.
- NHBC registration and the areas covered stated up front, written for the searches people in Essex actually make.
- FAQs answering the questions they get asked on the phone.
- Self-hosted fonts, so no visitor data goes to a font CDN.
04 · What changed
The outcome
Live, with the family adding their own work and every quote request landing in one inbox.
